Brett started Safety Management Solutions because he is passionate about safety and embedding this culture in your business to ensure a safe work environment for your employees and contractors. Brett’s background acquired over 30 years in operational safety and risk management, combined with hands on experience in industry, the military, health sciences and the emergency services, underpins this passion. He has worked in the safety sphere of a wide variety of industries, at site, local and international levels and has substantial skills and understanding in all things relating to safety.
Brett is able to influence at all levels of an organisation, whether it is staff on the ground or executives in the boardroom. Keeping your employees safe, demonstrating care for their welfare and mitigating any risk in work practices, improves business reputation, reduces employee downtime and costs associated with litigation and workers comp premiums, to name a few.

Fiona Hickinbotham – Operations Manager
Fiona is an experienced Operations Manager with over 20 years working in large corporations.
Managing budgets in excess of $12m, she has a proven track record of achieving excellent results in operational and strategic objectives as well as project management experience in a variety of different business functions.
Along with her understanding of a range of accounting, CRM and marketing software packages and systems, Fiona brings a wealth of operational skills to the business.
Tim Gurney – IT Consultant
Tim’s IT career has developed over 26 years in the IT industry, where he enjoyed a diverse range of roles both in the Small Business and Corporate worlds including Technical Support (hardware and software), Programming, Consultancy, Project Management and Vendor Management.
Tim has been instrumental in setting up an internal network for the business providing advice on backup services, system security and UPS processes to secure client information and ensure business continuity. He is also providing web development and maintenance services for the company site.
Diana Du Preez - Marketing Consultant
Diana is a Marketing Consultant who established her career in Advertising and Marketing and gained a Bachelor of Journalism and Media Studies. She began her own marketing and design consultancy, DesignStreet Pty Ltd and grew this business over subsequent years with blue chip clients such as Sony, 3M and Braun.
Diana has delivered expertise to Safety Management Solutions over the past 2 years in our marketing strategy as well as providing information on selling and improving profits. These skills are a valuable source of knowledge to our business and with her strong interpersonal skills and happy disposition, Diana's approach is always understanding, supportive and encouraging.

Kristian Jones - Associate Consultant
Kristian has significant experience working in WHS site and operational roles, including as a WHS Advisor for the complete structural construction of the award winning Tower 3 on the Barangaroo Project. He is also a Graduate of the Barangaroo Leaders Safety Program.
Kristian has been a Foreman, Site Supervisor and Project Manager with a variety of businesses incorporating responsibilities such as project managing, supervising large numbers of workers, record keeping and auditing and implementing safety systems. Along with having a Certificate IV in WHS and being a Senior First Aider, he is proficient at presenting training courses and is also a qualified personal trainer.
